We are hiring!
AXIOM ASIA PACIFIC is seeking another contract Delegated Authority Auditor to join our growing team working across AUS, NZ and SE Asia.
The Auditor will be responsible for conducting audits of delegated authority arrangements of Underwriting Agents, Lloyd’s Coverholders, and Third-Party Administrators - DCAs (Claims) to ensure compliance with the necessary regulatory requirements, Lloyd’s-specific requirements, and any Insurer-specific requirements.
The role will suit someone with some years experience in the Australian, NZ and/or UK Insurance markets, a working knowledge of Underwriting Agencies and/or Delegated Claims Administrators, and an ability to learn from reading and research, on the job training, and from active involvement in audit engagements.

Role details:

East Coast based, but Remote working when not on audit assignment.

Flexible contract role – up to 150 days per year of audit work.

Highly adaptable based on the nature of the work/assignments.

Must be able to travel interstate domestically and within the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities:
-
Co-ordinate and liaise with audit assignments subject to Operations Director planning.

Perform audit fieldwork including pre-audit review, onsite interviews, file testing and managing wrap-up meetings.

Able to work in audit teams on larger multi-Binder audits
-
Preparation of audit report and appendices following the completed work, both onsite and working remotely.

Compliance with strict timelines on preparation, execution and report production within Axiom SLAs

Responding to detailed peer review feedback from the Audit Director

Undertaking of relevant training
Experience relevant – Knowledge of any or all of the components below:

Lloyd’s; Underwriting Agency Operations;

Delegated Underwriting Authority Management & Governance,

Insurance Broking / Underwriting;

Delegated Claims Handling;
-
Insurance Compliance & Governance;
Key capabilities:

Self-motivated, self-managing and able to work to strict timeframes

Capable of working within an Audit team for larger engagements

Excellent report writing skills and able to present examples by way of redacted reports.

Ability to manage your own workloads within a wider team.

Experience presenting a professional image to the Auditees and any third parties/stakeholders.
The right candidate will be keen to learn those areas where there is no current experience, and will be encouraged to develop their own audit style within the required parameters.
Remuneration: Attractive daily rate while on-audit, with all reasonable assignment expenses met within agreed limits.
