Axiom Asia Pacific is a fully independent management and risk consulting business, well-established in the Australian market under the leadership of Peter Coates, an experienced market professional with 15 years underwriting, claims and reinsurance experience at Lloyd’s, followed by 12 years in Sydney working in a range of insurance and reinsurance-focused management and consulting roles with major firms, prior to taking on the Axiom AP business in 2005.

Extending the reach of its international operations under the previous owners, Axiom's Sydney office was opened in August 2002, and in addition to Peter, who has owned the business since 2010, there is a full-time Audit Director, four part-time Audit Associates and an Audit Administration Manager resource involved in the audit practice, and Axiom also has access to a wide network of local and international contract or partner resources if required. 

Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South East Asia are important business markets for Lloyd’s and other domestic and international insurers and reinsurers, and Axiom can offer a range of consulting services to overseas clients in these local markets, and can also provide support for local clients with London Market claims and reinsurance issues.

Peter Coates has owned and managed Axiom since January 2010, and the company remains wholly independent in all aspects of its operations in Australia and the region, focussed on providing impartial and objective support to local and international insurers and reinsurers with business relationships and interests in this part of the world, in particular in relation to the audit and review of Underwriting Agencies, Coverholders and Delegated Claims Administrators.
